Beta-readers

A quick message:

I have 7 beta-readers lined up, and I would love 10, and I haven't asked any of my e-friends yet. I mean, haven't we all been buried by people asking us to read their books and manuscripts? And I especially feel bad because I haven't had the time to read and comment on too many of anyone else's work lately.

But if you're an e-friend of mine, and you wouldn't mind being a beta-reader, please let me know by Wednesday the 27th. My email is on this blog page somewhere.

"Everything's Connected," a free story about a detective who catches a cheating spouse in the act (sort of), solves a kid's disappearance, and proves a little theoretical quantum physics--all in fewer than 2,000 words!--has been purchased by Over My Dead Body! "The Zombie's Lament," about a guy who loses the love of his life, gets bitten in the face by a zombie, and tries to apologize to his beloved before he turns--or dies. Rights were purchased by the good people at Big Pulp for an anthology series to be published in two volumes, both available via Kindle, online, and in print. Volume One is out right now. Volume Two--which will have my story--in April 2015.

"So Many Reasons to Celebrate the Season," a free story about how a best-selling author deals with a collapsing marriage on Christmas Eve, was published by On the Premises (Link: http://www.onthepremises.com/) on March 10th, in Issue #19. Use the link above, then click on "Latest Issue (March 2013)" and then click on "So Many Reasons to Celebrate the Season," four stories down on the page. "An Old Man," a poem about perseverance in the shadow of our own deaths, has been sold to the good people at Lost Tower Publications, to be included in an anthology due to be published in the next three-to-five months. 10% of all profits goes to Mind U.K., a mental health charity in the United Kingdom.
